"Crabby" Copper Sculpture

I'm back from Seattle, unpacking the car, repairing the tornado I call my studio! I dropped off "Big Koi Pond" at UW Medical Center, and participated in Art 30 run by the NW Arts Alliance. The show was a bit underwhelming because it hadn't been advertised and so there weren't many people that knew about it... boo hoo! Oh well, thankfully I am home safely, back to my sweet husband and flourishing basil!

Appropriately I am showing one of my newest copper creations titled "Crabby" It is a 12"x 9" hanging sculpture of acrylic and patina on hand-hammered copper for $125.

Copper mini meanfish and copper crow fly

Finally putting up a new post. I have been busy working on a new large 36x48 koi painting, which I will put up tomorrow. This morning I finished these two little cuties, commissioned by Robert Pierce to go with his larger versions of mean fish and copper crow. He will be attaching all four sculptures to his dad's old fishing tackle box, where he will be storing his fishing flies... quite a fancy fish box!

"Flamenco Floral" Original 8x16 Acrylic Painting

Here are the poppies I saw on my walk the other morning. They are so gaudy and wild... they remind me of the flamenco dancers we saw in Spain last year. This painting is acrylic on an 8x16 gallery wrapped canvas, with the texture extending over the sides, $245. SOLD

"Sunny Boy" Original 12x12 Acrylic Painting

"Sunny Boy" for a Sunday morning... He is on a gallery wrapped 12x12 canvas with the textured border extending over the sides, $285.

I went for a very nice run along the river this morning. It was sprinkling, but all of the birds were singing their hearts out and flitting about. I saw a Bullock's Oriole very close and I must paint one soon!

I got good news a few days ago, that University of Washington Medical Center is going to purchase my "Big Koi Pond" (see past blog post) for their collection-hooray! Well I'm trotting off to the studio... I sat and sketched poppies yesterday, so I hope to paint some this morning.

"Paper Chase" Original 10x20 Acrylic Painting

Good evening! I wanted to post this one last night, but I couldn't seem to finish it in time. So, here it is... another raven piece, with some wild colors. Titled the "Paper Chase" as the gift to his lady love is a shiny paper clip... isn't that so much better than a diamond ring! This original acrylic painting is done on a gallery wrapped canvas with 1.5" sides. The background color and texture extend over them so no frame is necessary. $385.
