"Riverdance" Spokane Convention Center Lobby Proposal

WooHoo!!! I got the Spokane Convention Center Lobby Commission after long hours of interviews and finalist proposals. I am soooo excited to be able to work on such a large scale project.
It will be approximately 24 feet wide by 22 feet tall. It will consist of 20 panels (10 48"x48" panels and 10 48"x 60" panels with approximately 6 inches between each panel) The bottom tier of panels will be 8" deep curved wood panels with mosaic (glass, tile, glass jewels, fused glass bubbles), hand-sculpted clay and acrylic paint. The next tier of panels will be my signature "puzzle" paintings with a mix of canvas, wood, glass tile and wood molding, the next two tiers will be gallery wrapped canvas (although the flying great blue heron will be three dimensional and on wood panels).
The bottom tier of panels will have the fish and water design un the underside surface so that people looking up will see it. The border design will go around the entire piece.
The ducks and trout on the edges will be three dimensional copper pieces that "fly" off the panels.
It is slated to be completed in March 2011. I will be posting pictures and progress reports along the way!
