"Murder by Moonlight" Original 22x30 Acrylic Painting
I rarely do abstracts but I wanted to try some simpler landscape shapes in this one...and you can't beat the title! It is an acrylic on 22x30 gallery wrapped canvas.
"Tic Tac Trout" Original 36x60 Acrylic Painting
So much fun to do a great big painting with huge wriggling trout! Yeah. This one will be going into my upcoming March show at Barrister Winery in Spokane. It is an acrylic on 36x60 gallery stretched canvas for $3,975.
"Star Stretch" 12x24 Acrylic Painting
I'm finally back to painting again as I have a show coming up for the first Friday in March. This piece is titled "Star Stretch" and was inspired by my trip to Australia.

"Lotus and Koi Mosaic Mural" in progress

Well...I just finished grouting my first and smallest panel in a series of seven panels that will make up the new mosaic mural for the Mellow Monkey Yoga Studio in Millwood, WA This panel is 2 feet by 2 feet, some are quite a bit larger. It has glass, mirror and stone as well as three dimensional mosaiced concrete sculptures (the lotus and bud in this panel) Stay tuned as I make slow and steady progress on this project!Thursday, January 12, 2012
"Garden Octo" Mosaic Concrete Sculpture
Finally got around to mosaicing my concrete octopus sculpture that I created last fall in Oakland's Institute of Mosaic Art. He was a lot of fun and is covered with all kinds of fused glass bling!

Mosaic Salmon Sculpture in progress 3

Yay! All of the three salmon are grouted and they look so pretty and shiny! I just need to do minor clean up and then seal them. Each salmon weighs about 25-35 pounds. I also need to figure out how I am attaching the copper tubing together to form a circle. We might drill holes and then bolt them together. It will be fun to see it when it is done.
