"Crabby" Copper Sculpture

I'm back from Seattle, unpacking the car, repairing the tornado I call my studio! I dropped off "Big Koi Pond" at UW Medical Center, and participated in Art 30 run by the NW Arts Alliance. The show was a bit underwhelming because it hadn't been advertised and so there weren't many people that knew about it... boo hoo! Oh well, thankfully I am home safely, back to my sweet husband and flourishing basil!

Appropriately I am showing one of my newest copper creations titled "Crabby" It is a 12"x 9" hanging sculpture of acrylic and patina on hand-hammered copper for $125.

Copper mini meanfish and copper crow fly

Finally putting up a new post. I have been busy working on a new large 36x48 koi painting, which I will put up tomorrow. This morning I finished these two little cuties, commissioned by Robert Pierce to go with his larger versions of mean fish and copper crow. He will be attaching all four sculptures to his dad's old fishing tackle box, where he will be storing his fishing flies... quite a fancy fish box!

"Flax" Original 8x8 Acrylic Painting

Good morning. I am moving early today as I have an artist's workshop this weekend at the museum. I'm not learning any fun new techniques... rather going over artist opportunities in WA, grants, website info. etc

Here is one result of my walk yesterday when I sketched a few types of flowers. These are flax flowers. They looked so simple when I ran past them. But, like anything, when you really stop and look at them they are surprisingly complex.

Now I must get back to work in the studio to create some new pieces! ~Adios
