Good morning! Another late night...trying to get things done. I finished two more for India "Nari Anjan" a purple heron 16x24 on gallery wrapped canvas, and "Holi" a 24 x 30 on gallery wrapped canvas. Holi (the festival of color) was one of my favorites when I was living in India as a child. You got to put on clothes that you didn't care about and run around pelting people and in turn being pelted with colored water balloons and neon colored powders and pastes...it was great fun!!

"Hold Your Demons Close" Original 12x24 Acrylic Painting
I'm back from San Diego. Had a very good meeting with Event Network. They supply many of the aquariums, zoos, botanical gardens and natural history museums with cards, prints and gift items. I'll be doing some new images for them including Hawaiian tropicals, orchids and dinosaurs!
Here is a new painting I finished last night at 2:00am titled "Hold Your Demons Close" . It is an original on 24x48 gallery wrapped canvas for $2,125. It is for my
two person show with Ric Gendron in October in the Kress Gallery/River Park Square, Spokane. The title of the show is "Beauty and the Beast-Monsters, Mermaids, Demons and Divas".

"Ganga" Original 30x30 Acrylic Painting
Another weekend come and gone! I just finished my newest piece titled "Ganga" for my India show
When Ganga descended from the heavens, her immense power threatened to destroy everything, But Shiva captured Ganga in his hair, only letting a trickle come through, so that Ganga could manifest on earth as the holy Ganges river.
My mom said that they don't really show bare shoulders in India...so I added sleeves to her top and made it into a "choli". (what is worn under a sari)

Sorry I've been slow to post...I needed a little break from painting. So, I went for a nice long 3 hour walk with my friend Kim on Fish Lake Trail, went to yoga, and watched "Amelia" about Amelia Earhart and now I am rejuvenated and back to the studio! Here are two new pieces for my India show. "Little Rajas" the kingfishers on 10x20 gallery wrapped canvas, and "Let Loose" also 10x20 acrylic on canvas.
