"Up and Away" Hanging Copper Sculpture

Just finished my oval copper sculpture "Up and Away" of two flying mallard ducks.

It was challenging but fun and I am looking forward to doing more such pieces in the future. The size is approximately 22" by 30" and can hang on a wall. Price is $745.

A crabby Sunday crab titled "On Guard" It is a 12x12 acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas for $285. I am now working on a copper duck sculpture, which might take awhile. I will post it as soon as I am done.

"Sun Salutation" Original 10x10 Acrylic Painting

Happy Saturday! Went to yoga this morning. I have been missing one of my favorite teachers because she just gave birth to a new baby boy Rocco. This a painting I just finished for his room. It is titled "Sun Salutation" and is a 10x10 acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas. Congratulations Lacy!

"Gossip in the Pines" Original 15x48 Acrylic Painting

A cloudy day, which is a good excuse to stay in the studio and paint away! I just finished "Gossip in the Pines", which was lots of fun to work on. It is a 15x48 acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas with the borders extending over the side edges for $1,395.

"Gopher in the Greens" Original 10x20 Acrylic Painting

Happy Day! Another one done... This one is titled "Gopher in the Greens"...it is a gopher rockfish in the kelp. It will be in my show "Sea Dimensional" at the Seattle Aquarium, June 15th through August 15th 2010. It is a 10x20 and sells for $385.

I also got great news yesterday that I was selected as the finalist for a Spokane public work of art project where I will be painting three outdoor murals with a group of youth over the summer. I'll post pictures of that project when I work on it in a couple of months.

"Pink Salmon Passion" 20x40 Mosaic

I am finally finished with this mosaic piece titled "Pink Salmon Passion". It will be going into my show "Sea Dimensional" this summer at the Seattle Aquarium.
It is a mosaic piece consisting of stained glass, fused glass bubbles, porcelain tile, and hand sculpted and painted clay (fish) with acrylic paint on the border. It is on three dimensional wood panels all mounted to one back and it is not very heavy-a relief!

It sells for $2,495.

"Stars and Stripes" Original 11x14 Acrylic Painting

Sorry I haven't uploaded any new posts for a few days... I am working on a large salmon mosaic piece and it is taking quite awhile. It will be pretty though and I'll be posting it in the next few days. Here is an 11x14 acrylic on canvas titled "Stars and Stripes" that I just finished. Price is $345.

Wishful thinking as it is fairly chilly outside... I finished "Spring Garden Stroll" last night. It was fun to try a new background....it looks a bit like metallic confetti! It is an original acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas, 18x24 for $825.

Another beautiful sunny day in Spokane....

I just finished this interesting dimensional "puzzle" piece titled "Raven Swallows the Moon". I had a lot of fun creating this! The different panels (separated by 1/2 inch space) are made of wood and are varying thicknesses/dimensions. You can see this in the side view. It is a 16 x 20 painting for $625. "Life's Circle" Original 24x30 acrylic painting

Finally back in the studio, which feels good! I finished this piece titled "Life's Circle" just a few minutes ago. It is a 24x30 on gallery wrapped canvas with the textured border extending over the edges for $1,375.

It will be going into my show this May at the Entree Gallery on Priest Lake (Reeder Bay) Idaho.

Now I must drag myself away from the paints and do my taxes!
