"Run for the Gold" Original 30x40 Acrylic Painting

Finished this one titled "Run for the Gold" a few days ago and I couldn't think of a title.  So, I put it out on facebook and got over 70 amazing suggestions.  Maria Pilar Nelson came up with this title.  
It is a 30x40 acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas for $1,875.
It will be heading to the Heathman Hotel in Kirkland, WA and will be there through January.

Spokesman-Review Commissions

After returning from Australia I got to work on a fun little project for a couple of my favorite journalists Jim and Rick who are retiring from the Spokesman-Review. Jim is an avid flyfisherman and loves cutthroat trout and Rick is a salmon guy. Although I had a few ideas to go on...when they opened their gifts at the retirement party last night, the final paintings ,commissioned by the Spokesman-Review, were a surprise.

Here are the very nice thank you emails I received from them today. "Just hung the painting and it looks great - toasting it with a Winterfish ale, to be followed by the salmon dinner we deferred from last night since the retirement afterparty went so late. Had lots of compliments on it, one of my fellow retirees who got an iPad said he wished he would have thought of something more creative instead. So thanks again, and have a great rest of the holiday season - Rick"

Finished this big one yesterday. It will be heading to Entree Gallery for my August 1 show "NW Hues". It is an acrylic on 36x60 gallery wrapped canvas with textured border extending over the sides for $3,575.

"Red Run" Original15x48 Acrylic Painting

Yeah! Back from the whirlwind tour of Seattle and the Oregon Coast. The weather was crazy so I didn't have many people attending my opening at the C Art Gallery, but I did sell a raven painting "In the Doghouse" which was nice!

This is one that I finished the night before I left, unfortunately the picture I took didn't work, so this is just an iphone picture...sorry! It is titled "Red Run" a 15x48 puzzle painting of textured acrylic on canvas, wood and clay with glass accents for $1,575.

"Fall's Call" Original 22x28 Acrylic Painting

Another misty morning... I enjoyed the shapes of the trees as I walked beside the Spokane river with their dark bark and golden leaves-then a bald eagle flew past...ahhh! Here is a new painting that I completed last night, titled "Fall's Call" It is a 22x28 acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas for $1,175.
