"Blue Mermaid" Concrete sculpture with glass mosaic

I'm finally messing around with some of the techniques I learned at my concrete sculpture workshop in Tennessee last summer.  Lots of fun!  This one is approximately 15x15x7 for $575.  She has fused glass accents and barbed wire hair.

The last of my ceramic sculptures...for now! This ceramic mermaid has mosaic glass and semi-precious stone accents on her tail and in her hair.

I'm posting a few more of my mini paintings. This one is titled "Tortuga" and reminds me of when we went to Florida and got to watch the little leatherback turtles hatching from eggs and running across the sand...amazing little things!

"Connected" Original 36x36 Acrylic Painting

Friday Night, and I just finished "Connected" my mermaid/sea serpent painting. This was a private commission and so much fun to work on. As you can see in the side view, the border extends over all four sides and the bottom corner has glass tile mosaic rocks.

"Starry Nignt" Original 22x30 Acrylic Painting

Late last night I finished my new siren "Starry Night". She is a Californian mermaid with a kelp frond tail, a garibaldi for company, and ochre stars dancing about her. Had a great time with all of the patterning in her hair and in the border. She is on a gallery wrapped 22x30 canvas for $1,285.

"Kelp Queen" Original 36x36 Acrylic Painting

My studio is pretty much cleaned up-yeah! So am back in business.

Here is the lovely "Kelp Queen" a cold water mermaid, with a number of rockfish species swimming about her among the kelp fronds. This is an acrylic on wood and gallery wrapped canvas panels with airdry clay and fused glass accents. It is made up of 9 individual 12"x12" panels and hangs in three pieces as a triptych. It has a lot of gold, copper, bronze and irridescent colors and would look spectacular in a stairway or as a centerpiece in a living area.

Another Sunday come and gone.... whoosh! Here is a new little purple mermaid I did today titled "Fish Food" She is acrylic on 9x11 board and is framed with a matte black wood frame for $275. Painting on board is nice because it is so smooth and I can get nice crisp details.
