The Blue Dog Chronicles

I was commissioned to create this memorial dog "Blue Dog" for a couple who had lost three Newfoundland dogs.  He has a rebar armature, foam core and fiberglass mesh center with layers of concrete and finally glass mosaic and epoxy grout.  He can live inside or out.

I'm finally messing around with some of the techniques I learned at my concrete sculpture workshop in Tennessee last summer.  Lots of fun!  This one is approximately 15x15x7 for $575.  She has fused glass accents and barbed wire hair.

"Greedy Raven" Mosaic Mirror

Working until all hours of the night/morning I got this mosaic on mirror done in time to hang it in my show at Barrister Winery today! It is glass and mosaiced concrete sculpture on mirror. 24x36 for $975.

My first large glass mosaic since I took the 'radical dimensions in glass' workshop in Oakland. It is such a different process than painting, but I love the dimension, shimmer and texture of glass. This a 24x36 framed mosaic with a dimesional mosaiced concrete body for the peacock. $945

Finally got around to mosaicing my concrete octopus sculpture that I created last fall in Oakland's Institute of Mosaic Art. He was a lot of fun and is covered with all kinds of fused glass bling!

Happy New Year's Eve! I am currently working on the third of the three salmon for my concrete salmon sculpture. The sun is shining, so I thought I would take a couple of pictures of how they look so far. The glass has been adhered to the concrete and next I will be grouting them with charcoal grout...all of the black outlines should look pretty cool-I'm excited!
