"Say Cheese" Original 16x20 Acrylic Painting
A departure from soft and sweet today. After my trip to South Africa to see photograph white sharks with Brandon I had even more respect for these amazing animals. They moved with such grace and power around our boat. They were a tawny gold color and were able to look right into their eyes...I'll never forget it!
"Say Cheese" is an original 16x20 on gallery wrapped canvas for 16x20. This painting will be going into the Seattle Aquarium show (June 15 through August 15)

"Not Clowning Around" Original 16x20 Acrylic Painting
Another painting for the Seattle Aquarium! We saw these little guys (false clownfish) fiercely guarding their eggs on our trip to Indonesia in January. They wiggle and squirm their way through the anemone, suddenly popping their heads out and baring their teeth...lots of attitude for such a little fish! This painting is appropriately titled "Not clowning around" a 16x20 on gallery wrapped canvas for $625.

"Red Run" Original15x48 Acrylic Painting
Yeah! Back from the whirlwind tour of Seattle and the Oregon Coast. The weather was crazy so I didn't have many people attending my opening at the C Art Gallery, but I did sell a raven painting "In the Doghouse" which was nice!
This is one that I finished the night before I left, unfortunately the picture I took didn't work, so this is just an iphone picture...sorry! It is titled "Red Run" a 15x48 puzzle painting of textured acrylic on canvas, wood and clay with glass accents for $1,575.

"Prince of Tides" Original 24x52 Acrylic Painting
Okay...another new one for you. This one is a 24x52 triptych (two 20x24 and one 12x24 in the middle). It was a tricky one with a number of mosaic glass parts (in the rocks on the bottom and in some of the squares behind) as well as three dimensional air dry clay parts. Each panel is attached to the other with S hooks so that it hangs as one piece...it is a beauty if I do say so myself! Titled "Prince of Tides" it will be heading to Seattle on Monday for the C Art Gallery show and then into the Seattle Aquarium. $2,675.
"Jeweled Pool" Original 24x25 Acrylic Painting
Hello hello! I am taking a quick break from my last minute madness to post a couple of new pictures. I am not sure why I decided to do the most intricate "puzzle" paintings last! This one titled " Jeweled Pool" reminds me of our frequent family trips to see the tidepools along the Oregon Coast....where I am heading in just a few days.
It is 24x25 acrylic on canvas and wood panels with airdry clay sea stars and barnacles as well as glass and mosaic accents for $1,245. It will be going into the C Art Gallery in Seattle on Monday.

"Mermaid's Secret" Silk Scarf
Took a little break from my regular painting today and did a two hour silk painting workshop with Olivia Waterman at Avenue West Gallery in Spokane. What fun!! I can see that I'll definitely be doing more of this in the future. We used special inks/dyes on stretched silk scarves. You have to work quickly and you don't have complete control...but that is the fun of it! Here is my practice piece "Mermaid's Secret" There are a couple of turtles in it as well, but it is too long and narrow to photograph well, so I just uploaded a detail shot.

"Starry Nignt" Original 22x30 Acrylic Painting
Late last night I finished my new siren "Starry Night". She is a Californian mermaid with a kelp frond tail, a garibaldi for company, and ochre stars dancing about her. Had a great time with all of the patterning in her hair and in the border. She is on a gallery wrapped 22x30 canvas for $1,285.
